New Magnetically Assembled Electrode Consisting of Magnetic Activated Carbon Particles and Ti/Sb-SnO2 for a More Flexible and Cost-Effective Electrochemical Oxidation Wastewater Treatment

Magnetic activated carbon particles (Fe3O4/active composites) as auxiliary electrodes (AEs) were fixed on the surface of Ti/Sb-SnO2 foil by a NdFeB magnet to form new magnetically assembled electrode (MAE). Characterizations including cyclic voltammetry, Tafel analysis, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy carried out. The oxidation performances MAE towards different simulated wastewaters (azo dye acid red G, phenol, lignosulfonate) also studied. Series properties found be varied with loading amounts AEs. area well number active sites increased significantly AEs loading, charge transfer was facilitated these Target pollutants’ removal all enhanced when appropriate accumulation intermediate products determined amount. This may provide landscape more cost-effective flexible wastewater treatment (EOWT).
